Although Harish Kalyan was originally cast in the lead role, he was later replaced by Kavin. Announced in August 2023 under the working title “Kavin’s Next,” the film’s official title was revealed shortly thereafter. Principal photography began in June 2023, primarily in Chennai, and concluded by mid-February 2024.

Plot

Review

The film received a reception from critics. The Times of India awarded it 3 out of 5 stars, while India Today gave it a slightly lower rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars. Times Now also rated it 3 out of 5 stars. Meanwhile, The Hindu critiqued the film by noting, “The film’s impact is limited to a few memorable moments and its earnest intentions, but it falls short overall.

Production

In June 2019, Harish Kalyan, who had previously enjoyed a successful partnership with director Elan on “Pyaar Prema Kaadhal” (2018), was set to reunite with him for a new project. The film was to be produced by Amma Creations, led by T. Siva. On December 5, 2020, the director officially confirmed the project during an interview. Additionally, it was announced that Yuvan Shankar Raja would compose the film’s score, marking his second consecutive collaboration with Elan following “Pyaar Prema Kaadhal.
