Murder Mubarak Mystery Movie Review 2024

Murder Mubarak is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller film directed by Homi Adajania. The screenplay is written by Gazal Dhaliwal and Suprotim Sengupta, and the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Plot

The film begins with Tambola Night, where each character is introduced. The following day, gym trainer Leo Matthews dies from a barbell crushing his windpipe. ACP Bhavani Singh, along with SI Padam Kumar, is assigned to the case. While President Bhatti considers it an open-and-shut accident, Bhavani suspects murder due to party balloons obscuring the CCTV and Leo’s pet cat, Prince Harry (alias Hariya), showing signs of illness. The investigation starts with Roshni Batra, Cookie Katoch, and Bambi Todi, the first to discover Leo’s body at the gym. They implicate Aakash Dogra, who had claimed to be Leo’s lawyer during a fight between Rannvijay Singh and Leo on Tambola night.

Upon questioning, Aakash reveals he once assisted Leo in a drug case. The women also suggest Shehnaz Noorani, an actress involved with Leo, and Rannvijay Singh, who was having an affair with Ganga, the beauty parlor owner. Rannvijay’s defensiveness about Ganga increases Bhavani’s suspicion of him as the murderer.

Leo’s forensic report uncovers the presence of a drug called Pinko Haathini in his system in large amounts, rendering him incapable of lifting even light objects, let alone a heavy barbell. Bambi overhears this information. Further interrogations with Guppie Ram, Thinsuk, Theju, and Minu yield no new leads, leaving the investigation at a standstill.
