In April 2021, reports surfaced about a new collaboration between Rama Rao and Siva for the film NTR30, marking their second partnership following the success of Janatha Garage in 2016. The official announcement came on Ugadi, 13 April 2021, with Yuvasudha Arts and N.T.R.

Arts jointly producing the film. Despite the initial excitement, production faced delays due to Siva’s commitments to the film Acharya and Rama Rao’s involvement in RRR. These scheduling conflicts pushed back the start of filming, but anticipation for the project remained high among fans and industry insiders.
