Story
The story of the film revolves around Samar Kumar (Vikrant Massey), who is an entertainment Hindi journalist in a big news channel.
Despite being looked down upon by English journalists, Samar reaches Gujarat to report on the Godhra incident. There he finds some evidence that can reveal the truth of this incident. However, the channel’s main anchor Manika Rajpurohit (Ridhi Dogra) along with her superiors submits a false report. Samar opposes this, but is accused of theft and fired from the job.
Five years later, after the Nanavati Commission report, the channel’s new reporter Amrita (Rashi Khanna) is sent to Godhra. There she finds Samar’s old footage, which tells the truth of the incident. Amrita decides to find Samar and get to the bottom of the Godhra incident. Will she be able to expose the truth? Will Samar support her? The answers to these questions are found in the film.

The Sabarmati Report was released in theaters on 15 November 2024. Now the film will be available for streaming on ZEE5 from 10 January 2025.
