Plot

Amar Singh, born into a Dalit family in Punjab, worked reluctantly in a socks manufacturing factory during his teenage years, though his true passion lay in music. Determined to pursue his dreams, he began networking with local musicians, aided by his acquaintances. He started collaborating with a well-known musician and singer, Jinda, who recognized his talent but used Amar’s lyrics without giving him credit.

Fortune smiled upon Amar when he got the chance to perform in Jinda’s place at an event, captivating the audience with his powerful voice and lyrics. The crowd’s overwhelming response led to him being called “Chamkila” for the first time. The movie continues to explore his life journey following this pivotal moment, including the mystery surrounding his unsolved assassination.
