Stree 2 continues its impressive performance at the box office, breaking records previously set by major blockbusters like RRR, KGF 2, and Baahubali 2. As of its Day 10 Box Office Collection, the film has collected ₹341.65 crore domestically and ₹456 crore worldwide. The movie is on track to potentially surpass the ₹400 crore mark soon, making it the highest-grossing film of 2024.
Stree 2 has also outperformed Shraddha Kapoor’s previous hits like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Saaho, as well as the first Stree movie. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, features not only Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao but also Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles. Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia have made special appearances in the film.
Stree 2 Movie critic and Bollywood trade analytics Taran Adarsh shared an update on the box office performance of Stree 2 on X (Twitter). He highlighted that the film, directed by Amar Kaushik, has shown remarkable resilience at the box office, maintaining strong numbers even as it enters its second week. On the 2nd Friday, Stree 2 grossed ₹19.30 crore, and the total collection to ₹327.10 crore.
Adarsh noted that Stree 2 is expected to see further growth over the weekend due to Janmashtami, maintaining strong daily earnings with no signs of slowing down.
In a separate interaction with Indian Express, director Amar Kaushik expressed his happiness over the film’s success. He shared that his goal was to ensure that people watched Stree 2 not just because they loved the first part, but because they genuinely enjoyed the sequel as well. He valued the appreciation from both reviewers and the audience, which was crucial for him beyond just the box office numbers.
