The film is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster “Soorarai Pottru” and tells the story of Mahim, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who is determined to make air travel accessible to everyone in India.

Mahim’s journey is fraught with obstacles as he faces scorn and skepticism from the aviation industry’s elites. Despite being labeled as “Sarfira” (madman), he remains undeterred, striving to establish a low-cost airline. Inspired by Captain Gopinath’s book ‘Simplifly’ and numerous real-life tales from the world of entrepreneurship and aviation, “Sarfira” chronicles the journey of Vir Jagannath Mhatre, the son of a teacher in rural Maharashtra. Determined to achieve the seemingly impossible dream of democratizing air travel for the common Indian, Vir embarks on a relentless quest.
