Premalu is a 2024 Indian Romantic Comedy Movie directed by Girish A. D. The film stars Naslen K. Gafoor as Sachin Santhosh and Mamitha Baiju as Reenu Roy, alongside a supporting cast that includes Althaf Salim, Meenakshi Raveendran, Mathew Thomas, and Akhila Bhargavan.
Plot
On the last day of college in Salem, Sachin Santosh confesses his love to his classmate Anjali, but she rejects him outright. Returning to his hometown Aluva, he faces his parents’ troubled marriage and plans to study further in the UK. However, lacking funds leads to his visa application being denied, postponing his plans for six months. In the interim, he helps with his father’s bakery.
One day, Sachin encounters Amal Davis, a childhood friend who invites him to join a GATE course in Hyderabad. Eager for a change, Sachin agrees and relocates to Hyderabad with Amal.
Reenu Roy, a lively young woman, joins the development team at the IT company Ospyn in Hyderabad. She shares an apartment with her friend and colleague Karthika and Karthika’s friend Niharika. Aadhi, a senior developer at Ospyn who secretly has a crush on Reenu, pretends to be her best friend.
Sachin and Amal attend the wedding of their professor Shobi, where Sachin meets Reenu, a colleague of Shobi’s bride Shravani. He is instantly attracted to Reenu. Despite an initial argument with Aadhi, Sachin, Amal, Reenu, and Karthika form a friendship. After the wedding, the group returns to Hyderabad in a Mini Cooper, although Aadhi initially objects. Sachin, who had considered quitting his course to work in Chennai, decides to stay in Hyderabad for Reenu and persuades Amal to get a job at his aunt’s fast-food restaurant.
