Kalki 2898 AD: Box office Collection Day 2, High Gross

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has been performing well at the box office. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, opened to strong numbers and broke several records.

On its opening day, the film grossed approximately ₹257 crores worldwide, surpassing the previous record set by “RRR,” which had a day one collection of ₹223 crores.

The bookings for “Kalki 2898 AD” were particularly strong, with significant sales in North America, where it achieved nearly $1.8 million from 54,000 tickets sold for 3,278 screenings across 901 locations even before its release.

“Kalki 2898 AD” achieved an impressive ₹180 crore (US$22 million) worldwide on its first day, making it the third-highest opening day gross for an Indian film. Of this, over ₹95 crore (US$11 million) came from India alone. It also set the record for the biggest opening for an Indian film in 2024. Within two days, the film nearly reached ₹250 crore (US$30 million), earning ₹149.3 crore (US$18 million) in India.

Debuting in third place at the global box office, “Kalki 2898 AD” trailed behind “Inside Out 2” and “A Quiet Place: Day One” during their opening weekends. The film grossed approximately ₹484 crore (US$58 million) worldwide in its opening four-day weekend and reached ₹700 crore (US$84 million) in its extended eight-day opening week.
