SonyLIV’s new show Freedom at Midnight is a story that sheds light on India’s independence and the partition of 1947. This series shows Mahatma Gandhi’s efforts when he appealed to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to reach a compromise with Muhammad Ali Jinnah, so that the partition of India could be stopped.
Producer and Director This show is produced by Emmay Entertainment, which is led by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani, and is made in collaboration with StudioNext. The director of the show is Nikkhil Advani, and Abhinandan Gupta, Adwitiya Kareng Das, Gundeep Kaur, Divya Nidhi Sharma, Revanta Sarabhai, and Ethan Taylor have contributed in writing the story.

Story This show is based on the famous book Freedom At Midnight by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. It shows the difficult journey of India’s freedom. The story is of the time when Gandhi Ji had requested Patel Ji to maintain peace with Jinnah to stop the partition of 1947.
