Plot

Best friends Becky and Hunter embark on a mountain climbing adventure with Becky’s husband, Dan. Tragically, Dan loses his footing and falls to his death. A year later, Becky has abandoned climbing, becomes an alcoholic recluse, and contemplates suicide. She is estranged from her father, James, who disapproves of her relationship with Dan. As the anniversary of Dan’s death approaches, Hunter suggests Becky join her in climbing the decommissioned 2,000-foot (610 m) B-67 TV Tower in the desert before it is demolished in the winter. Hunter proposes that Becky scatter Dan’s ashes from the top as a way to find closure. Initially, Becky is hesitant but ultimately agrees, hoping to move past her grief.

The following day, Hunter and Becky successfully climb the severely corroded ladder to reach the tiny platform at the tower’s summit. There, Becky scatters Dan’s ashes. However, as they start their descent, disaster strikes when the ladder collapses. This leaves them stranded several hundred feet above the nearest intact section and nearly two thousand feet above the ground. To make matters worse, their backpack, which contains their water supply and a small quadcopter drone, falls onto a communications dish, placing it just out of reach of their rope. This predicament puts them in a dire situation, testing their survival skills and their friendship as they struggle to find a way back to safety.

The film was initially conceived as a short. Director Scott Mann got the idea during the production of Final Score at a UK stadium. This concept seemed like a powerful device for a movie.” This conversation sparked the idea that evolved into the film, focusing on the fear of heights and the primal fear of falling that resonates with everyone.
