Devraa Part 1 – Plot
Devra’s family is living a peaceful life when suddenly their village and family are attacked by outside forces. Devra rises up and uses his strength to protect his family and community. In the meantime, he meets a mysterious woman (Janhvi Kapoor), and with her help he takes on his enemies.
The film also has a strong action-sequence and emotional drama, which shows Devra’s struggle and his personal journey. Also, Saif Ali Khan’s villain Bhairav’s character brings a turning point in the story. Who emerges as a serious challenge for Devra.
The issues of family, love, revenge and morality are well intertwined in the story. Which keeps the audience on the edge of their seats at every moment. The film also ends with a big cliffhanger, which forces the audience to wait for the next part.
Devraa: Part 1 – OTT Release & Platfrom
The OTT release date of Devraa Part 1 is November 8, 2024, and it will be available on the platform Netflix. However, Hindi audiences might be a little disappointed, as the film will only release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages for now. The release date of the Hindi version is yet to be announced.
The Hindi version is expected to release on November 22. This OTT release has increased the curiosity among movie lovers, as they can now watch it from the comfort of their homes.
The Hindi audience might have to wait a little longer, but the release of the film in other languages is adding to the excitement of the fans.
Devara Part 1 Box Office Collection
Devara Part 1 grossed ₹132 crore worldwide on its opening day, making it Jr NTR’s second biggest opener after RRR. In two days, the film crossed the ₹200 crore mark globally and also crossed the ₹100 crore (approx. US$12 million) mark in India. In its first weekend, the film grossed ₹250 crore globally.
According to Pinkvilla’s report, the film grossed ₹303.5 crore globally in the first seven days, while The Indian Express put the figure at ₹370 crore. In 14 days, the film grossed ₹408 crore globally, of which ₹208 crore was from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. The film earned ₹233.97 crore as distributor share, earning a profit of approximately ₹49.97 crore in two weeks.
This stellar performance of the film showed its strong hold at the box office and made it clear that Jr NTR fans eagerly wait for his films.
