It Ends with Us: Release Date, Review, Plot and Movie Rating

Plot

Lily Bloom relocates to Boston with aspirations of launching her own business. Soon after, she encounters Ryle Kincaid, a charismatic neurosurgeon, and they quickly form a deep romantic bond. However, as their relationship progresses, Lily begins to notice unsettling similarities between Ryle and the unhealthy dynamics she witnessed in her parents’ marriage.

These observations cause her to question the foundation of her connection with Ryle. Just as she grapples with these concerns, her first love, Atlas Corrigan, reappears in her life, further complicating her emotions. Atlas’s return stirs up old feelings and forces Lily to confront her past and present relationships.

Torn between her enduring feelings for Atlas and the intense, albeit troubling, connection she shares with Ryle, Lily faces a heart-wrenching decision. Her journey becomes one of self-discovery and resilience as she navigates the complexities of love, loyalty, and her own aspirations for happiness and fulfillment.

Review

The romantic drama It Ends with Us tackles the issue of physical abuse and is directed by Justin Baldoni, who also stars in the film. Based on Colleen Hoover’s acclaimed novel, the movie centers on Lily Blossom Bloom (Blake Lively), a young entrepreneur starting a florist business in Boston. She meets Ryle (Baldoni), an alluring and charismatic neurosurgeon who quickly sweeps her off her feet but conceals troubling secrets.

Lily’s past is marked by an abusive household, and she has unresolved feelings for her childhood sweetheart, Atlas (played by Alex Neustaedter and later Brandon Sklenar), now a successful restaurateur. The narrative questions whether Lily will free herself from Ryle’s grasp and find happiness with Atlas.
